Outfit of the day: stripes and squares

YEPPAH, sunny side within sight. However, I couldn't resist fake sunbathing (check: just bare feet) last sunday when the first sun beams were shining bright. This sunday it's time for the REAL work: 20 degrees: woo-hoow. And guess what, sunday is the last day of Easter holidays: thatz so f*cking typical.  Returning to school and BAM! Anywayz, I will not complain to much, my last blogposts were nothing then complaints about the shitty weather, so now time is there, I should be happy, I guess. I have to say that it may have come late, but at least it has come. The pictures fill in on the story of my complaints, lovely grey dark weather. Why not cheer it up with some colors? Yellow, mint, stripes and squares. Somewhere balancing between light and dark, between rain and sunshine, between daylight saving time and winter, and between nowadays and next sunday. I'm READY.

Outfit of the day: long lasting and flimsy

Haaaaah this weather, can't stand it anymore. I'm really tired of my winter-closet. Dear mother nature, when are you gonna make spring finally happen? I remember last year, around this time of the year, it waz f*cking 25°C. Alwayz this packing and clothing layering, I'm sick of it.
This dress is a curly wurly breezy one. I own it already about 4 or 5 years, and I'm still not done with it. The wind unlocks its extra flimsiness. With the small belt, you can accentuate specific pieces of your body. And last but not least, the colors do create happiness, especially with it's silver glittery strips. (I'm the glitterobsessor, remember?) So nothing but plus points. Maybe that's what's making the dress so timeless and lasting.

Do you have that piece of clothing, the one you never get bored about and returns year after year?

Outfit of the day: navajo all the way

3 days &... POOF: the snow is gone. Either 3 days of studying &... POOF: exams will be over!
Seriously, I'm sick of it. (2 months is just too long.) From now on I'm counting till the end of this suffering.
So friday is my last exam, and then freedom is released.
But first things first; development psychology. It's not that easy, so these 3 days won't be that short.
A focusing - directed strategy, not focused on the end, but on the difficulty of the subject. I can think about a lot of things for next week: it starts with fun and it ends with fun. (except for the driving-test that's planned). Seriously; so much more interesting things to think about. But that will cause failure. And failure we do avoid. Or at least, that's what we try, but that doesn't make things easier.  Let's make this concentration happen!!

I will start in the morning, so for now a quick outfit post! The outfit I was wearing @ my exam today. (which went well; thanks to exam questions of last year.)

Outfit of the night: disco-ball-lookalike-eighties-dress

The nillies. My time. What should I talk about when I'm retiring and have my grandchilderen coming on a visit? Would it be the conflicting forces on several areas (see: political, economic, social or natural aspects) or rather the uniforcing social media? That's the core concept of this period imo. We've been overwhelmed by facebook, twitter, instagram, soundcloud, spotify, hyves, youtube,... and that are just the most leading ones. Caring = sharing, it's the rule rather than the exception. Odd isn't it? And even in the domain of fashion, whe can't live without them. Not only blogsters but also fashion magazines, brands, webshops and others can't help but to be keen to join in. If I have to give one word to define the nillies; it would be hodgepodge. And after my demonstration, that term speaks for itself.

The eighties. That's the period I had wanna live. An intersection of bright colors & punk. I love the prototypic vision of the disco people. They looked so funny and simultaneously also fashionable. A complex image with glitters, colors, leggings and polkadots. When you say eighties, I say cool music with funny upside-down moves. Love it.

Remember the dress from this post? I felt directly in love with this disco-ball-lookalike-dress. It clearly reminds me of these golden eighties, where surplus glitter & color wasn't immediately taboo.
I was a bit choosy how to combine this, since I wanted all eyes on the dress. So I dressed down with simple black.

BTW: Here's a good illustration of the eighties with a nillies electronic touch.

Outfit of the night: NYE

H to the angover? Not only from this lovely party at NYE, but also from this amply abundance of food, presents & festive time.
My good intensions for this new year? At first... maybe lose these festive pounds?
I could say I'm gonna quit smoking this year; in that case I would consider myself as pinocchio and a pretty little liar, because I don't. In fact I love smokin' my dear gauloises. And I knooooow, it's bad for the health and so, and so, and so onnnn... You have to die by something, no? (Categorize this as a professional smoke-excuse, haha.) But when I use my brains; I'm planning to stop before my graduation, taking a fresh start. (I heard that your lungs fully recover in 5 years of no-smoke) So that should be a good intention for the year 2016. (at best of course)
And that brings me to my last good intention: making good exams in january (and june; but that's still far away). And the only way to attain this: S to the tudy

That's it for today; an update of my NYE will come soon, but like every year, it waz f to the abulous!

I wish you all a lovely year full of happiness and beautiful moments!

Outfit of the day: Xmas

Pfieeeuw; after just munching those last leftovers, I feel kinda bloated. Long time ago my tummy feels so round; we call it not for nothing Christmas-pounds, do we? Like I've mentioned; we don't do gifts @ Christmas, so while everyone is showing & instagramming his presents, I stay behind empty-handed. But let's put it in perspective; my climax will be at New Year!

Between all this preparing for exams, I cooked a nice meal with scampi's @ Christmas Eve & collapsed in the sofa with - this oh so exploited, hundreds of times watched - 'Home Alone' movie. (And every time again this Kevin McCallister keeps charming me...). & although the next day was a new learning day -jeeeeeej- I highlighted the day by putting on some festive clothes, probably I couldn't miss the chance to run away from those books...

After this delicious turkey & stollen (still one tradition saved) that my daddy made, I stored away my fancy clothes for the REAL familyparties @ 1 january.

Outfit of the day: fruity leather

Today I present you an outfit I wore during a casual school-day ending with a movie-night with the ladies & guy from my psychology class. Our name 'psychokids' arose spontaneously, and besides our private group on facebook (a place to share school-info, questions & tricks), we organise regularly a night out. (Like dinner: we simply LOVE sushi!, partytime, bdays,...) So last monday we organised a movie-night with the essential snacks. We saw the movie 50/50, which was rather good (&psychological!) in my opinion. Next monday we are organising a little x-mass-party, I will keep you guyz posted!

I'm wearing this coat for years now and I can't get enough of it! I simply love the color, but when I bought it; it wasn't totally perfect: I didn't like the buttons... So I sewed new buttons on it (DIY's have solutions for every problems!) and... there it waz: my perfectly, 'unique' coat was alive. And still... I'm truly in love with it!
