NAILART: Caviar please

Time flies, we're almost in the end of may, can't believe the schoolyear is almost over again and holidays are coming... First thingz first of course...EXAMS. Hohohorrible times, I'm getting scared already. It's a time, to survive only with full focus and force, no distractions allowed. I'm curious I will survive as well as a sophomore. "Just keep that vibe good and believe in yourself", my current motto it iz. Let's kick some ass :)

NAILART: shiny kermit

Finally it's weekend. This week was mashed up again. I'm kindah very tired... Those times in Leuven are just unforgettable, even though all those party-nights aren't always that clear the day after... It's shameful how students live their lives sometimes. Eating fast food and nothing but unhealthy, chillin at the park, boozing and boozing... And to be honest, I'm not always that good student too. There are weeks to be lazy, amass those dishes, having a little dumping ground in my room and do nothing than sleep the day after. Those weeks aren't very productive for school-work, and then rings the bell. But students won't be students without guilty pleasures. Next week I won't be that sinner. [promise]

Miss piggy's BF. Kermit, we all know the green frog with his funky collar. I just love this color and thought to sparkle it up with 'I'm dynamite', both colors from Catrice which I showed you here.

NAILART: one is sufficient

Easter has been over, eggs has been collected. Hello Easter holidays! No school anymore for 2 weeks, although... I fell behind with schoolwork, and so I have to catch up these days. Preparing exams, reading books and writing papers; Easter holidays.. at 50%. Anywayz, to be honest, I caused it a bit by myself, I can't bring up to study weekly or keep up with the courses. A classic problem for a lot of students I guess. (except the real geeks then...) So we don't have to complain that hard, I'm trying to relax as well. Tomorrow I will go on a lil shop-trip to Antwerp, my fave shopping city ♥. I Will keep you posted with a 'new in' of course. 

For the nails. They speak for themselves I guess, not that special. Just a lovely color from Catrice with one glittery nail. Perfect to sparkle up your day. And sure it's necessary these days, I'm even wearing my sunglasses all day long during the smallest sun beams to keep up the good vibes, or even pretend it's warm... :(

NAILART: Pink lining

Whoopie, I've been a bad blogger (again). Too long time no see. But last week was, what should I say, pretty vivid again. Not in a positive way. Wednesday my lovely phone was stolen (again) @ a club where I lost more of those beloved things. Can't help it, it seems like faith is picking on me. Even with a group of friendz, it's always me who is the 'lucky' shot. Next time, guess I have to pick another purse that looks less attractive, or maybe protect it with a padlock?

Texting a friend, making a quick call, instagramming or checking FB, banal things but in the long run very indispensible imo. A pretty example of how these modern social media/gadget-times influence or minds that way, we become little addicts, and can't imagine anymore without these luxe-opportunities. And this may sound cocky, but try to think about it, from all this possibilities to -boem klatch- nothing (see: stone age minds: no pc's, phones, tablets or internet), would you be able to bear that?

Anywayz, looking for a new phone right now. Hope I will be able to thrift the same one, because currently, they don't sell it anymore.

NAILART: Blue mountains

Valentine's day, mister Cupido's busy day. I think you can say there are basicly 2 camps. Those who love this day, en those who don't, or stay indifferent. I consider myself to this last category. Not that there is a thing to celebrate, since I'm still (happy!) single. But all this "on this day we have to show explicit that we're happy in love"- fuss is irritating me. All those soggy and sticky moments, while love is something you have to show everyday, and not only with flowers or a teddy on the 14th of february, right? 

So no cuddly dinners or something this day for me. Just celebrating. Double shot celebration time. At first, I achieved my driving licence tuesday. (3 times hurray!) I'm so relieved, one thing less to care! And secondly, I received my results. I passed 4 from the 5 exams, sadly enough the other one will be a resit.
Guess all this hard work sometimes get rewarded and this may well be a good thing.

Here a little nailart with some tape. I wasn't so happy with the result because I had to retouch a lot (caused by a bit loosening the polish), and it makes it a bit sloppy. But it's a cool way to make something 'new'. So better luck next time!

NAILART: zebra battle

Quick update. Tomorrow I have my first exam about personality psychology. YIKES. 
Normally I'd like to rest & relax a bit (afterwards) on the day of an exam. 
Let's stay realistic: these exams are exhausting, aren't they? 
So I like to reward myself (or comfort in case of a bad exam) with some shopping or eating sushi... 
Guess what; friday is my next exam already, and it's the most difficult one of this period. (or that's what they say)
It's psychiatry, a course you have to learn by heart in the most extreme form: 
bradykinesia, amnesia, kataplexia, apraxia, acathasia, hypotonia, afonia, ... IAAAAAAAAAAAA. 
WORTSALAT: Mix all kind of words without any connection. You see: it's already driving me crazy :) 
So thumbs up, will need it & see you next weekend, when the blog-lock is done.

I give you some nail art I've made a while ago. Zebra nails. 
You have to put on a base coat, and make with a nailart pen some lateral curved stripes. 
It's not perfectly done I think, but I love the total image when you give it a glimpse.

NAILART: glitz & glamz

You guyz already know that I simply adore glitters, sequins & shiny glamz. So I present you: my nailart for NYE: as shining and sparkling as possible.

I combined 3 different polishes:
1.OPI - save me (responsible for the lenghty glitters)
2.Essence - special effect colored topper (responsible for the colored dots)
3.Paris Memories (responsible for the glittery base coat)

I'm not sure how many layers I've applied, but I can tell you: it were MANY!
My nails had to dry for like an hour or something!
I'm curious how long it's gonna take to undo these... I'm already looking forward! NOT.

So if you were doubting what to do with your nails; go for it! You can also do this 4 another party or feast; but I warn you: it's really showy!

And further... I'll wish you all a fabulous glammin', lovely, (drunk?) partynight.

NAILART: GOLD BLUE V

It's time for a new nailart of the day. Since I became obsessed by nail art, I'm also checking out some other nail art blogs sometimes for inspiration. But in comparison to them; I feel like a f*cking newbie. Their nails are always perfectly done: no leftovers or colors outside the lines nor scratches from bumping to something: in short: an artful job. Well I'm hoping I'll walk the line too in the future. I definitely won't stop trying! So here a little DIY:

                                                                                                                                          
STEP 1: Choose a base color. (I chose a blue one from primark.)

STEP 2: Cut some angles from 90° from a piece of paper. (The degrees don't matter; but they look more the same then) Paste them on your nails with a bit scotch tape.

STEP 3: Polish over the angles with another color (I chose a violet one from primark). Important: make sure the angles are tight enough and allow to dry.

STEP 4: You can now use a cotton bud, a toothpick or nail art pen to improve the angles and add a 3th color.

NAILART: Halloween nails

Boooooooooooooooooh, it's almost halloween time. Although we Belgians don't celebrate it like an american, I like it very much! When I was younger, I even went on the road to "trick or treat". There were a lot of astonished faces & awkward moments ("Ok, and why exactly are you here?"), simply because we Belgians don't do these things... Such a pity.. so for not losing my halloween mood, I polished my nailz very spookyyyy. 

Thiz iz how we do it:

STEP 1: Paint your nails with a base colour of your choice; preferably a light-ish colour. (I chose a skin-color from catrice + I tested the python top coat from Bourjois on my pinkie: I will show you guys how it works in another post)

STEP 2: Dip a toothpick into red nail varnish and then apply an uneven coat to the tips of your nailz to create a blood dripping effect

STEP 3: Then apply a lighter red varnish on top to create a more bloody effect.

STEP 4: Apply a top coat so it lasts longer and adds a finishing shine.

FRIENDZ EVENTZ: Girls just wanna have fun

Hi there, 

I'm glad to tell you, I had a cozy, lazy weekend. Saturday, I was wondering what to do; luckily a friend had the same lazy feelings and we organised an old-skool girls night with another friend. Because girls stay girls: sometimes they need me-time, and a time of zen to toooooootally chill out (preferably with cucumber slices on your eyes) and that's exactly what we did. With 2 bottles of cava; a loooooooot of snackfood (potato chips, cheese, olives, sundried tomatoes,...), lovely tunes in the background and some candlelight we started. We placed masks on our face (I had my favourite: strawberry-chocolate), polished our nails different and then choose for the newspaper nails (I will post the video of a DIY) and played stupid girly games like 'giebelen' (it's a game for 12-year olds but hey; a lil bit of nostalgia with some cava in your tummy is real fun!).

NAILART: sunny péridot

Sunnyyyyyyyyyyy outside, finally! So now it's time for péridot, one of my favourites.. It was a present for my last bday from 2 friends, and i'm really happy with it. It has different colours inside/outside but when the sun shines brightly, you can see them all! Orange, red, yellow, gold, green, blue, violet, hmmmm. :)

 Going back to my sunchair now, for a funky colour xo
